A notable exception is Sweden: the tourist season shuts down at the beginning of August, and we pretty much had the country to ourselves. Yes, nights were getting shorter, and the weather played its game, but it is still one of the best months to travel in this amazing place.

As we had learned from many previous trips, the spontaneous flow travel style offers the greatest experiences and rewards, especially when traveling with the van.sweden2

 

Lineup of Faro locals… 3 vans 3 kites on the water. The island has 50 inhabitants in the winter and wind on ca. 300 days a year, as well as beautiful white sand beaches.
